The Rev. J. Lymburn delivered an interesting lecture at Hastings last night •en the subject " A Hero Missionary to tho Lepers."

I '.:iown fast mail steamers running in the Orient line, havo added the Oru'ja lately to their flcot, and have the Orotava now building. The two new boats will, at any rate for tho present, bo placed on the South American lino—Liverpool to Valparaiso. Tho new liner, the Orttba, had her sea trial on June 1, making a fino run of 200 miles. She was built by tho Navil Construction and Armament Company, of Barrow-in-Furness. The Oruba lias accommodation for 130 first-class passengers, 90 second, and 0750 third-class. The vessel left Birkenhead Docks at midnight, being lighted
throughout by electric light, by means of over 700 inoandeseent lamps. A run was made to the Welsh coast, at tho speed of 16§ knots per hour. Tho vessel is beautifully fitted, forethought and consideration being everywhere apparent.
