At the United Methodist Free Church' district meeting the following wero elected tho district, committee for 18S9, to meet in Christchurch :—The Revs. Messrs. H. B. Redstono, Edwards, and Peters, and Messrs. Headley, Bowron, Cutler, and Glanville. The Rev. ,1. Wrigley was passed to the third year of probation. Tho Rev. G. Parker wasmadea supernumerary on account of ill-health. Fraternal greetings wero sent to the Primitive Methodist and Wesleyan Conferences, and to tho Free Methodists in Australia.
