This meeting , was the most successful one in every way tho club Ims yet held. The weather was all that could bo wished for, being bright and warm, and with a pleasant breeze. The attendance was the largest that Ijas over been seen on the course. Tho racing , and finishes were good and exciting. The dividends paid out on the different races were, as usual with this club's meetings, very good, tho best being on the Haok Race, where the lucky investors received .£ll 12s, and the smallest being the Selling Race, when £2 2s was paid. The two machines, which wore well worked by Messrs. Stock and Cohen, put through tho sum of £4350, The Garrison Band played in their usual grand style, and enlivened tho intervals botween tho races. The following was tho programme:—Quick inarch, "St. Cecilia" (Moore); fantasia, "Felicia" (Tilliard); quadrille, "Merry Folks" (Dawson); valse, " Pretty Gitana" (Frost); fantasia, " The Soldicr'sDream of Homo " (Frost); grand selection, "I'Lombardi" (Verdi); polka, "Les Petit Soldate" (Bonheur); glee, "Fill the Shining Goblet" (Parry); valse, " Silver Wedding" (Embury); grand fatasia, "Pride of England " (Round); sohottische, "Jack and Jill" (Linter): gnlop, "PellMell" (Round). Mr. Watt provided an excellent luncheon, which was well patronised. Tho course was in splondid racing order, and the beautiful green lawn was a sight very refreshing these dry times. Mr. Ryan had both the booths, and did a very good business. In every way the day was a most enjoyable ono for either Uiose who came to see sport or those who came for a day's outing and pleasure. The club is meeting after meeting becoming more popular, and getting better attended. The starting was not as good as it might have been. Tho Two-Toar-Old Race was spoilt by the great advantage given to Strephon, who got such a lead at the fall of the flag that the others could never catob. him. Had they all got away well togother, it would have been a grand raco Tho races were started well up to time, tho List event being got off within three minutes of theadvertised time.
