The Crown Prince is suffering from a severe cough, and he is much troubled with phlegm. His medical advisers fear that bronchitis may set iv.

The following dates, are ii.xed for tho licensing elections: —Waipawa, nomination 27th February, poll sth March at Waipawa and Hampden ; Ruatauiwha, nomination 2Sth February aud poll Oth March ; Norsewood, nomination 29th February and poll Bth March; Woodville, nomination Ist March and poll 9th March. Mr Drummond has already fitted up an lerated water apparatus, which lie has got ready for working in a place erected in the rear of his present premises. I don't know why, but I only discovered it last night. We are therefore in the way for getting these things plentiful and cheap. The new school bell arrived yesterday. It has been cast by Messrs Bogle, Siniiuonds and Co., of Napier, and they have turned out a first-class article. When hung, it will supply a want felt for some weeks, as the people here set their clocks by its riniring. Mr Williamson, our headmaster, is expected to resume duties on Monday.
