A special general meeting of members of the Permanent Building and Investment Society will bo held in the society's office, Tennyson street, at 8 o'clock to-night, to consider business relating to the reserve fund and the advisability of terminating tho investment shares of the first issue.
Applications for the post of head master of the Clive district school must be sent in to the chairman of committee, MrF. Sutton, not later than to-morrow.
Rates due to the Heretaunga Road Board unpaid by to-morrow will be sued for without further notice.

The postponed examination of sheep, for the purpose of testing the merits of the A-arious sheep dips, will take place at Hastings on Wednesday next.
