The total reserve in notes and bullion in tho Bank of England is £12,700,000, an increase of £300,000 compared with last week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities remains at 43 per cent. Tho bank rate of discount is unchanged at 3 per cent; market rate, 2 per cent. Consols have advanced to Kauri gum, best selected transparent, is worth £11, Svdxet, Friday. New Zealand wheat, per bushel. 2s 9d ; New Zealand oats, 2s Id: maize, 2s 11; sugar, Company's No. 1 pieces, per ton, £3-1. Adelaide, Friday. Wheat lias advanced to 4s Gd, and the market is steady. Flour is flat and prices nominal, town brands £10 to £10 ss, and country ditto £9 10s to £9 15s
