Saturday. News has been received from AVaratah Bay that Martin AVeiberg, the Avoca gold robber, has been drowned there. _ He Avent out in a dingy Avhen drunk, and it is presumed the boat upset. The Argus to-day publishes a telegram from Captain Armit announcing his return from New Guinea ill Avith fever, and Avith all but one of his party suffering. Professor Denton, he states, died from exhaustion after a severe attack of fever.
