WHAT PAUL SAID!
A Cincinnati correspondent of the Louisvillo Courier-Journal tells this story of Mr Paul, a furnace owner, just across the river. Mr Paid had a man working for him who ■WiW a preacher, but v/iic never paid W
debts at the furnace store. One Sunday morning (furnace stores kept open Sunday mornings in those days), just as the preacher started to tho school house to deliver his sermon ho told his boy to go to the store and get some butter. Tho boy went, but was refused, and he went back to where his father was preaching. Just as he reached the door the preacher was talking about St. Paul, aud he was thumping the bible and shouting: "AVhat did Paul say : The boy looked startled, but kept still. " And what did Paul say r" repeated the preacher. Tho boy still maintained silence, but was anxious : Again the preacher thundered: "And what did Paul say r This was too much for the boy, and he blurted out: "He said you couldn't have another durn pound of butter till you paid for what you had got; that's what Paul said."
