December 22. Mr S. Holdsworth, the Crown Lands Commissioner, held a sale to-day of the Tokomaru block and the Harbor Board Endowment block on the deferred and cash payments eysteni. Of seventy-five sections oftered, eleven were sold on deferred payments, and seven on cash payments. There was not much interest taken in the sale. The land realised an average of about 35s per acre. The Hon. Mr RoHeston left for Wellington by train last evening. Mr Bryce remains to spend Christmas with his family.
