NELSON.
November 29
A fire broke out at Child's cabinet making and steam turnery works yesterday afternoon. When discovered the fire had a good hold of the roof, and was extinguished with difficulty, but not before the upper portion of the building was destroyed. Tbe building is insured in the Norwich Union office for £200. The stock, &c, was uninsured. The fire is supposed to have originated from a spark alighting on the roof.
