AUCKLAND.

November 23. The Waitemata County Council has decided to borrow £10,000 under the Roads and Bridges Construction Act. The postmaster here has cotnpulsorily registered all letters addressed to Zoo Jumbo and Ada Mantua, and the owners, fearing a prosecution under the Gaming and Lotteries Act, have refused to take delivery, and in one week alone unclaimed letters containing £3000 were sent to the Dead Letter Office from Auckland.
