The inquest upon the bodies of the men who were drowned by the sinking of the Austral was resumed to-day. Captain Murdoch was examined at length, but he was unable to account in any way for the foundering of the vessel. The divers have continued their examination of the ship, but they have not recovered any more bodies, and the fate of the Lascar firemen, who, it is believed, were drowned, is still unknown. The Marine Board inquiry irto the circumstances under which the immigrant ship Northampton struck on a reef at Port Hacking on the 21st ultimo was concluded to-day. The Court found that the captain was to blame for the casualty, but have postponed dealing with his certificate until Monday next.
