INVERCARGILL.

November 13

St. Mary's Convent school and chapel were opened yesterday with considerable ceremony and a large procession of adherents of the faith. Rishop Moran officiated, assisted by the local fathers. The proceedings were witnessed by a large number of citizens. The convent has not been in existence a year, but tbe ladies have been so successful as to require more accommodation. The new building is a large one, with provision for its conversion into a chapel when required. An infant school is aleo attached. In addition, a large boys' school has been built near Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
