Tho Union Company's s.s. To Anau was detained in Auckland until 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and cannot arrive hero until to-morrow mcrning. She will be tendered for mails, passengers, and cargo, some 20 tons, soon after arrival, and at 10 o'clock she is announced to steam for Southern ports and Melbourne. The steamer Oreli, Captain Campbell, which was expected to arrive here this morning, has not yet put in an appearance. The s.s. Maori is detained from leaving for Wairoa owing to the heavy weather prevailing. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Arawata, Capt. Chatficld, left Wellington for Northern ports and Sydney afc 6 o'clock 3a?fc night, having about 100 tons of cargo on board for this port. She was signalled when our report left, the Spit, and would probably arrive at tho roadstead at about 2 o'clock. She will be tendered immediately on arrival for cargo, mails, 'and passengers, and will resume her voyage northwards as soon after 4 o'clock as possible. The steamer Southern Cross, Capt. M'lntosh, left Timaru for Auckland direct last Monday, and was due there yesterday. She will probably be leaving Auckland again on Monday next for Gisborne and Napier, and should arrive here about Wednesday.

Tho Merchant Shipping and Underwriter's Association report that the ship Kiandra has put into Plymouth, and is- discharging a portion of her cargo which has become slightly damaged. The Kiandra is presumed to be bound from London to Port Chalmers.
