Forrester's blk h Gipsy Cooper by Barbarian—Gipsy Girl, 6 yrs 3 There were 31 starters, viz., Darebin, Commotion, Coriolanus, Lord Burghley, Napper Tandy, Santa Claus, Belladrum, Sardonyx, Baron Yon Mueller, Gipsy Cooper, Crystal, Gudarz, Odd Trick, Frying Pan, Wizard, (Paterson'e), Prattle, Little Jack, Dougalaton, The Queen, Cooreena, Mistake, Verdure, Tumuit, Mistaken, Colima, Anglesey, Colstoun, Brunette, Granyille, and Gardenia. The running was commenced by Verdure, who rushed to the front, followed by Tumult, Sardonyx and Frying Pan, until the Straight was reached, when Little Jack came with a rush and won by half a length ; Verdure, second ; Gipsy Cooper, third. Time, 2mins. 4£secß.
