Wanganui v. New South Wale?,

(Br TELEGRAPH.) Wellington, September 18. Tbe football match, Wanganui v. New South Wales, was played here yesterday. There waa beautiful weather, and the attendance was about 1500. Arrangements were made to play two spells of forty minutes each. In the first spell the Wanganui team played very fast, and scored a touch-down, the try being disallowed, as a second Wanganui man touched the ball. In the second spell the Sydney men scored one goal and two tries, thus winning by nine points against Wanganui's two. The play throughout was exceedingly good on both sides.
