AUCKLAND.
September 18. Thirty pounds worth of jewellery, &c, stolen by Marsh, has been recovered at the Thames from a pawn shop and from private persons to whom the articles had been sold. The sum of £10 was stolen from R. Browning's (solicitor) residence yesterday. The cab-driver Ritchie who was injured on Saturday, and Bird, who was run over by a loaded cart, are likely to recover. The annual horse parade of thoroughbred and draught stallions took place at Ellerslie to-day. There was a fair show, but a number of racing sires owned by the Auckland Stud Company were absent through being in other districts. Marsh's wife has handed to the police some silver plate identified as part of the proceeds of tbe robbery at Mr Williams', Mount Eden. The name and crest had been carefully filed off. Most of the proceeds of the robberies has been recovered either pawned or otherwise disposed of at Auckland, Thames, and Ooiomandel.
