[Passengers —Misses Wardell, Patrick (2), and M'Kay, Messrs Cruickshank, G. Waterhouse, Thomas Hookman, R. Laird, Edwards, J. Cocele, Holmes, and Sampson.

Tho Union Steamship Company's s.s. Te Anau, Captain Carey, cast anchor in our roadstead at daylight this morning, and was at once tendered for cargo, some 25 tons, by the ketch Thrse Brothers, the inward mails and passengers being landed by the Boojum at 8 o'clock. The Te Anau reports having left Russell on the 30th August at 5 p.m., and arrived in Auckland on the 31st at 3 p.m. ; left Auckland on the 31st at 12.30, and arrived at Gisborne on the Ist at 2 p.m.; left Gisborne same clay at 6 p.m., and arrived at Napier as above. Tho outward passengers were taken off at 11.30 a.m., and the Te Anau proceeded on her passage for Southern ports and Melbourne at about 1 p.m. The s.s. Maori, Captain Anderson returned from Wairoa at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She is to leave again for the same pftice at 12 o'clock on Monday night. The Union Company's s.s. Mahinapua, Capt. F. Jones, arrived in the bay from Dunedin, Oamaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington, yesterday afternoon. She was tendered on arrival for cargo, some 30 tons, by the s.s, Sir Donald, and at 7 o'clock the same evening left for Gisborne and Auckland. The paddle steamer Manaia returned from Wairoa via the Mahia at 3 o'clock this morning, bringing about 30 tuns of whale oil from the latter place. She is to leave for Wairoa again at 8 o'clock on Monday night. The steamer Go-Ahead, Captain Doile, finished discharging her cargo yesterday afternoon at the breastwork, and at 6 o'clock last evening sailed for Wellington. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Arawata, Captain Sinclair, left Wellington at 10.15 p.m. yesterday with 30 tons of cargo for this port, and may be looked for here at about 4 o'clock this afternoon. She will be tendered for cargo by the Admiral on arrival, and by the Boojum for inward mails and passengers, those outwards being announced to leave the wharf at 4 p.m. The three-masied schooner Mary Wadley, Captain L. K. Lindfors, was towed outside by the Boojum this morning, and at 11 a.m. sailed for Newcastle, N.S.W., in ballast.
