M. Roustan, the French Resident at Tunis, has arrived in this city, and it is currently believed that he has been superseded in his position, though nothing definite has yet become known. M. Gambetta, the President of the Council of Ministers, made a speech today, in the course of which he stated that bis Government would not object to European control of affairs in Tunis if such was desired by the Powers.
