September 12. The steamer Tui, on entering the Waitara river, went on the north spit, where she now lies. The natives went down from Parihaka

on Saturday and trespassed upon land recently purchased at Ngakunukunu by Mr Burgess. They entered the stockyard, which was ne»vly built, and pulled it down. After prowling about some time, they decamped. It is expected that the Constabulary will take some action in the matter.
