September 9. At the wool sales to-day 10,200 bales were catalogued. The tone of tbe auction was steady, but the demand was not active. The cargo of frozen meat ex steamship Cuzco was sold to-day. The beef realised from 4d to 5-Jd per lb., and the mutton from 5 to The condition of the latter was not equal to that of the mutton brought by the Protos. The meat market at the present time is flat.
