May 17. Mr Montgomery, M.H.R., will address his constituents at Akaroa towards the end of the week. The available berthing space in Lyttelton harbor is now 8485 feet. Besides this there are 2910 feet of space on the western side of the basin available for future wharves, &c. The Premier will address his constituents on Thursday week. The pasturage rent for the year ending April 30th, 1882, amounts to £51,030 17s lOd, on 2.760,119 acres.
