The decisions of the Umpire and Judge shall in all cases be final. 8. For this Regatta—By an Amateur shall be understood the reverse of a Professional aa defined by the " Australasian " of October 25t,h,1879, viz. :— " A professional rower Is a person who has earned or is earning his living on the water ; who has been eoenged in boat-bnildlng, or letting or tending of boat-i; who has competed against watermen at any Regatta ; or who has rowed for or received a money prize, or taken money in recognition of his skill In rowing " 8 Each pulling boat shall carry a distinguishing flag. 10. In the case of a " walk over " no public money will be given. 11. No second prize will be awarded in any race unless there bo three starters.
