DUNEDIN.

February 26. In Cameron's sweep on the Cup the first prize goes to Mr J. 0. Eva, Dunedin, the second to Invercargill, and the third to Oamaru,

Mr Mayo died this morning, and Lloyd is still in a dangerous condition. A fire destroyed the shops in NorthEast Valley occupied by Henry Miller, chemist, and Henry Bloxham, painter. Owing to the great scarcity of water considerable difficulty was experienced in preventing the flames from spreading to the Cattle Market Hotel. Bloxham's stock was insured in the Transatlantic office for £125, and the furniture for £125 in the North British office, but he estimates his loss at £200 above that. Miller was uninsured, but saved all his stock and effects.
