WEEKLY MARKET REPORTS.

Mr. Alfred Buckland's Keport. — The sale held on Monday, at Cambridge, was very numerously attended by settlers from all parts of the Waikato. For all useful implements the prices obtained were satisfactory. Longwool ewes were at lower values that would have been obtained nearer Auckland. Ewe Limb3 were at full values. Merino cweg, wether lambs, and wethers, about Auckland values. The bidding for cattle was dull, but prices obtained were fully equal to those ruling in the Auckland market. Horse stock were also fully compotud for. 2,820 aheep, 178 cittle, and 10 horses were sold at the following pricps : — Longwoollcd ewes, two-and four-tooth, 23s to 30a; aix-tooth, 2ls ; merino ewes, 10s to 12s Gd ; longwoolled ewe lambs,21s ; wether lambs, 17s ; half-bred ewe lambs, 18s Cd ; wether lambs, 12s Gd ; half-bred wothers, l.">3 9d ; merino wethera, 10a 9d to 13a; longwoolled rams, £3 5s to £6 ; draught mares, £23 to £40 ; riding horses, 17 to tl2; ten-months old calves, 3.3s to 31s ; eighteen months old, GOs to G7s Gd ; three-year-old, 85s to 87a Gd. Cowa, 52s Gd to 72s Gd each.— At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were short of requirements. Store cattle wore fairly represented, and met with a good inquiry. Fat cattle were in full supply — 194 sold ; prices were slightly m favour of tho buyer. Store sheep in request. Fat aheep in short supply, and at higher values. Pigs plentiful, and at previous rates. Prices obtained were — dairy cowa, £G to £9 ; calves, 20s to 33a ; 18 months steers, £3 10a ; threeyear old steers, £5 15s to £G 23 Gd ; fat cattle, 22s to 23a the 1001b ; fat sheep, 3^d the lb. ; long-woolled store wethers, I4a Od each; aged long-woolled ewea, 11s each; small-sized fat pigs, 4d the lb. MFd9a.s. Hunter and Nolan's, Report. — Horses : There has been «a continuous demand and tolerable supply of medium and low-priced, but young sound horses hav been scarce. The latter description, if up ' standing and adapted for coaching purposes and light harness, could have been placed to advantage. About the average number were entered for sale by auction. Tho bidding was steady, and nearly all in were disposed of at prijea on the whole satisfactory to the vendor. Hacks at from £7 to £11 15s ; draught, £15 to £40 ; light harness, from £10 5s to £15 15a each. Cattle : There has been an increase in the number offered for sale, and, although slackness characterised the demand for some descriptions, on the whole the market h»s been wholesome. The dairy cows submitted for sale were scarcely up to the average as to description, and numerically Ies« were offered by auction. Stores were more plentiful, but vendors look upon cuirenfc rates with disfavour, and, purchasers being averse to give higher rates, produced a certain amount of dulnesa ; although, with few exceptions, all offered have been placed. Fat beants were in good supply, and in active demand at from 243 to 27s 6d per 1001b. Dairy cows sold at from £6 to £8 5s ; yearling steers, £2 to i'2 5s ; onc-and-a-half- and two yearold, from £3 15s to £4 10s ; calves, £1 5a to ll 12a Gd. Sheep : Of those fit for tho butcher the number penned at Newmarket was about the average, selling freely at from 2i Gil to 3a per 81b. No stores offeied. Lambs scarce and of inferior description.
