Out ILussoll coriedpondcnt, writing ou tho Oth niBtiiut, says : — " 1 hear tho Kawakawa liiuiera have struck, and there aro about 15 uhips waiting at tho loading gtound for coal. —A man named Hudson, aged 2 i, was killed by a tall of coal on Wednesday at 4 o'clock in tho morning. Two men wore working m tho mine, and tho >oung man heard something ciack, and sent his mate for props, but ho was too late. Ou bu roturn, tho mine had fallen in and crushed the poor fellow, killing him instantly."
