This Company has been established as a purely Kew Zea'and institution, with all its funds retained and invested in the colony. It has a very large an 1 innuentia body of shareholders distributed throughout the entire Colony, who are themselves insure-s to a very considerable amount, and consequently can influence a large business, thus adding to the security of the insured and the stability of the Company, the chief features of which are a liberal management, prompt payments, rates moderate, and personal responsibility of a large body of shareholders. Fire and Marine Insurance is now carried on throughout the Colony. Marine business will also be commenced in Australia and Great Britain as oon as arrangements can be made. In effecting Life Insurances, recent events have shown it to be of the first importance to select an Office of high chaiacter, long standing, and stability. This Society has been in existence since the reign of Queen Anne, and the first Policy of Insurance ssued in the world was issued by the Amicable, now he Norwich Union. The Resources of the Society are so great, that irrespective of its immense annual revenue it possesses a Reserve Fund of £2,300,000 and upwards, available for its requirements. Being a purely Mulaal Office, it has assigned by way of Bonus to insurers the sum of £1,650,000.
