SPECIAL PRIZES. A Silver Medal vrill be given by his Worship the Mayor of A ackland for the most useful and best made Article of Local Industry from the City of Auckland. A Silver Cup, value £5, will be given by Messrs. Henderson and McLeod for the best yearling by "Northern Hero." £5 will be given by Mr. John Fisher, Butcher, for the be»t Fat Ox. Mr. Fisher will give £6 next year for best Stall-fed Ox. £6 will be given by Mr. A. Dornwell, Butcher, for the best Fat Cow, bred and fattened in the province. r £5 will be given for the best Bull, and £5 for the best Cow, exhibited on the day of the Show. A first prize of £5 will be awarded for the best combined Mowing and Reaping Machine ; second prize, £2 10s A prize of £10 will be awarded for the best Reaping Machine, with side delivery. A prize of £1 10s. will be awarded for the best Horse Rake. \ prize of £5 will be awarded for the best half-ton of Flax in bales. H. Kohn, Jeweller, will give a Cup for the best collection of Draining Tiles. REGULATIONS. 1. Prizes will be awarded for any Agricultural Implement or Machine other than above enumerated, whether made in the colony or imported, if deemed of •ufflcient merit, and as the funds at the disposal of the Committee will allow. 2. Implements and Machines to compete in their several classes. 3. A day (to be hereafter named) will be appointed on which a trial of the Implements and Machines selected for that purpose by the Judges will be made, and the prizes will be awarded in accordance with respective merits. 4. Space will be set apart for extra Stock of all classes, and pnxes will be awarded if deemed of sufficient merit, and as the funds will allow. 5. Prizes will be awarded for any article whatever of " Local Industry," if deemed of sufficient merit. 9. All entries to be addressed to the Secretary, and left at the Post-office, Otahuhu, not later than Saturday, 26th October, at 6 o'clock p.m. 7. Forms of certificates of entry can be obtained on application to the Secretary, Otahuhu, and of Messrs. A. BuckUnd, and Hunter and Nolan, Auckland. 8. Eutrance fees— Horses and cattle, 2s. 6d. per head ; Sheep, per pen, 25.; Swine, 2s. per head; and Poultry, 2s. per coop. 9. Tickets of admission for the Stock will be given to exhibitors on payment of the entrance fee ; and no Stock will be admitted withoutsuch certificate. 10. Stock will tie received on the morning of the Show until 10 o'clock, and Stock received after 10 o'clock and up 10.30 will be charged double fee, after which no Stock will be admitted. 11. All Horse Stock *o be led. 12. No Stock to be removed from the yards before 4 o'clock p m. 13. Ste .rards to cause any Sheep to be shorn at the request of the Judges 14. Tho Sheep-shearing to commence at 2. SO. Time allotted : 40 minutes. 15. The age of Cattle to date from the Ist of July. 16. The Judges may withhold priaes when there i* only one exhibit. 17. No prize will be awarded for extra exhibits, If the Prize List contains a class or section in which the same can compete. 18. Tie prices of all Exhibits, except Live Stock, to to attached to them if possible. 19. All Exhibits to be the bona fide property of the Exhibitor. 20 No person except Stewards and those in charge of Stock will be allowed in the grounds during the time the Judges are adjudicating. 21. In case of any dispute arising, the decision of he Managing Committee to be final.
