TE KOOTI PROTECT ED BY THE KING NATIVES.
News arrived yesterday that To Kooti has left his hiding-place at Ruatahuna, and, at the bidding of the King's execufcire in Waikato, is making the best of his way to that district, where he is to be sheltered and protected from the persecutions and threats of the Government. Captains Preece and Mair, with all their forces, are off for the purpose of intercepting him. Alas ! lam afraid their expeditions will be, like all others, futile; and what is more, at this inclement season of the year, attended with great hardship.— [Corrtipondent.]
