GENTLEMEN, - I accept the invitation with which you have honoured me " to allow myself to be "put in nomination for the office of Superintendent of this Province ;" and I beg leave respectfully to thank you for your promise »f active support. As the question of " Provincialism" will probably be put in issue on the hustings, I take this occasion to assure you that, should the choice of the electors fall on me, I will go into office, not to undermine or damage Provincial Institutions, but to reform provincial, administration, and, with the concurrenc of the representatives of the people in Council by making an equitable distribution of the public money throughout the several districts, to encourage the growth, and to aid in the establishment, of a system of true local selfgovernment.
