ARRIVAL OF THE BARQUE HARRIET ABMYTAGE FROM SYDNEY. The barque Harriet Armytage, 233 tons, Captain Stephens, arrived from Sydney late last night, with a full general cargo of merchandise consigned to Messrs. Roberton and Co., 100 cases of apples, and the following passengers : — Messrs. Neale, Boyle, Hart, and Hamilton. She left on the 4th nt 4 p.m. ; experienced strong westerly winds for the first three days, subsequently light southerly breeze 3, making the North Cape on Saturday at 11 a.m.; siuce then had light winds and calms. The subjoined manifest of the vessel's cargo is taken from the Sydney Morning Herald of the 4th instant. MISCELLANEOUS. The schooner Hannah Newton, 78 tons, Captain Willing, entered outwards at Sydney for Auckland on the 3rd instant. The steamer Blackbird ran into the wharf at Newcastle on the Ist instant, with great violence, carrying everything before her, and penetrating the planking to a depth of 9 feet or 10 feet. The bow of the steamer passed through two immense sleepers one 12 inches square, and the other 15in. by 10in.; besides cutting through a great number of thick planks just as if they had been so much pasteboard. Besides the damage done to the wharf, the steamer sustained injury to the extent of abont £200. Tbe vessel was in charge of one of the pilots at the time of the accident, but neither he nor the engineers were deemed responsible for the mishap, the exact cause lof which had nob been ascertained, t 'J J• f
