AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET. [Reports for the week ending September 28.]

MB. BUOKLAND'S REJPOBT. On Saturday hit, hay was in usual supply, and without any Alteration in price. Maiie brought ss. 6d. and si. 9d. Bran, li. 7d. the butshel. Good working horses were in fair request, but inferior s\'<oclc scarcely saleable. At Ot&buhUr on Tuesday, there was a full market of (tore cattle, all of w (rich met with a ready sal*, at full prioes. Half- . bred wethers, good stores, brought 31s. 6d. each. At Newmarket, on Thursday, there was a large muster of (tore cattle, which sold at high ratts ; medium dairy cows bringing extreme prices. Pat cattle were of large size, but generally not of prime quality ; prices were slightly in farour of the buyer. A pen of store half-bred wethers, in low condition, brought 28s. 6d. each. Fat sheep were in short supply ; prices consequently ruled high ; mexins wethers bringing from 275. to 335. each. Lambs were plentiful, but in demand, best pens bringing from 20s. to 265.; inferior pens, 14s. to 18s. each. A large number of inferior store pigs sold at low prices, but well-fatted pigs, particularly of small sise, were freely competed for.

HUNTER AHD CO.'S BEPORT. We have to report, at our market, on Monday, fat cattle were in fair supply. The cargo of cattle ex 'Helen S. Page 1 were all sold at satisfactory prices. They were not a first-class lot. Best qualities are still maintaining the late high rates. Store cattle were in good supply, and quiet brought the high prices they have been bringing of late. The demand continues great, especially for what-is three-fourths fat. Dairy Cows. —There was a considerable number in the market. Prices are very much down for this class of stock. Ordinary good animals are worth from £12 to £15. Sheep Market. —Our market was indifferently supplied with sheep, and those that were in were inferior. Good sheep are rising in price, and appear to be scarce. Gtahuhu Sal*.—At this market we had a good show of store cattle, which realised satisfactory prices; two-year-old steers, from £8 to £9 each; tome springing heifers, from £13 to £16 each. Horse Market.—On Saturday last, at our yards, we had a good show of horses, of draught, light harness, and saddle horses; prices we consider are advancing for good sound animals of all descriptions, for which there is considerable demand. Horses of the latter class are very scarce; inferior animals are still very plentiful in the market. New Zealand maize, ss. 6d.; Sydney [maize, Ss.; _ feed eats, ss. 9d. to 65.; seed oats, 7s.
