T>URSUANT to the terms of a requisition addresL sed to the Board of Directors of the Bank of New Zealand, and signed by the holders of not less than thiee thousaud shares iv the capital stock of the Company, notice is hereby given that a Spectal General Meeting of the Proprietors of the Bank of New Zealand, will be held in the Bankinghouse, in Auckland, on WEDNESDAY, the tenth day of Septebiber next, at noon, for the purpose of taking into consideration the proposal contained in the above requisition to alter the deed of settlement as follows : — ' ' Provided, that the first directors, viz. : — John Logan Campbell, Thomas Henderson, James O'Neill, George Burgoyne Oweu, Thomas Russell, Chailes John Taylor, and James Williamson, be eligible for re-election without any notice." NOTICE is hereby given that a SPECIAL MEETING of the JUSTICES of the PEACE, for the districts of Howick and Panmure, will be holden at the Resident Magistrate's Court, Howick, on MONDAY, the 25th day of August, 1862, at the hour of eleven o'clock, a.m., for the purpose of granting Slaughter-house Licenses, in accordance with the provisions of the 6th clause of the " Slaughter-house Ordinance, Session 8, No. 6. Persons desirous of obtaining Licenses as aforesaid, must, ten days before such meeting ; give to the Clerk of the Court a notice in writing, of their intention to apply for such License, and must describe in the said notice the house or place intended to be licensed.
