Mr. Alfred Buckland's yard at the Haymarket, on Saturday last, was numerously) attended. About 35 head of Horse Stock were brought forward, of which number 28 were sold. Compact draught horses are in fair request ; other descriptions are dull of sale. The Bye-grass seed sold at 3s. and 3s. 6d. per bushel : hay £4 per ton. The Wool Sale on Wednesday last was well attended ; all the lots brought forward were disposed of at satisfactory prices : greasy wool realizing from lOd. to 13d. per lb. ; washed wool 15d. to 164 d. per lb.. 48 bales, principally lambs' wool, were quitted. There will be another sale on the last Wednesday in March. Hunter, Cochrane & Co. report, at their lale of Horse Stock held in the Greyhound Yard on Saturday lait, a good quantity of Horses were brought forward. The demand was limited, consequently did not come up to their value. A 2-year-old filly «old for £28 ; draught mare £26 7s. 6d. ; a yearling filly sold for £10 ; and soon. Hunter, Cochrane & Co. also report, at their Cattle Sale held at Newmarket, on Tuesday last, a fair supply of Beef brought Id, which realized fair average prices : those well fatted sold more readily. Dairy cows, at their profit, are still enquired for. Several lots of Store Stock sold at fair prices. Pat Stock sold at from 19s. 6d. to 255. 9d. ; Lambs 10s. 3d. to 15s. 6d ; and a lot of Breeding Ewes fetched 16s. 3d. each. A pen of wethers 14s. 6d. each. Hunter, Cochrane & Co. report, at their usual, and ■pedal Sale of W. Goodfellow's stock of Dairy Cows, htld on Wednesday last, at Otahuhu, that altogether 120 head were driven in. The attendance was excellent and bidding spirited. Dairy Cows fetched from £8 ss. to £16 2s. 6d. ; Store Cows £5 to £8 each ; a |lot of yearlings fetched respectively £3 55., £3 11s., r £3 135., and £4 Bs. each. Two lots of poor Store Sheep went for 4s. 3d. each, and a pen of ewe hogs at 13s. On the whole a very satisfactory sale to buyer and seller. Messrs. Cheeseman report that their sale of live stock at Newmarket on Tuesday last, the 19th inst., was well attended with buyers, and everything offered sold at good prices. Fat steers realised from £8 7s. 6d. to £9 12s. 6d. Cows, £7 7s. to £9. Store cattle, £6 17s. 6d. to £8 ss. Fat sheep, from 17s 3d. to 215.9 d., and lambs 18s. each. The bidding for rams, both for sale and lease, went off with spirit. Sam lambs, of the Leicester class, bred in the Province, sold at from £2 2s to £5. The imported rams were leased at from £10 to £12 17s. 6d. each.
