Biscuit Mould Candles Sperm Camllesof English Manufactuie J Firewood, at per 100 lbs. f English, at per ton Coal < Austiahan, at pei ton ( New Zealand, at per ton Common Oil, at per Imperial gallon Cotton Wiok, at per lb. - The Jh eih Meat to consist of Beef and Mutton, de•Jivered. m. the. proportion of five dayb Beef and two days Mutton, weekly. When"BeeTjsTssued, fore and hind quaiters are to be delivered to the Regiments or Detachments alternately. Six inches to be cut off the hough and neck bones. Mutton to be delivered in caicasses. Both Beef aud Mutton (in the proportion above stated) to be ibsued in detail daily, to Officers and others of the Staff and Departments. The sonior Commissariat Officer or Officeis deputed by him to have the power' of inspecting the live Cattle and Sheep intended for slaughter, and of rejecting any animal considered unfit for the use of the Troops. The animals to be killed and ready for the further inspection of the Commissariat Officer at such times and places j as he might appoint. The Salt Beef and Poik to be of the best quality, each Cask to be opened and lepacked at the expense of the Conti actor and only the best pieces taken. Casks not to be charged for. The Biscuit to be properly kilu dried and weighed off in bags of 112 lbs. each at the expense of the Contractor. Bags not to be charged for. The Bread shall be the pioduce of clean sound Wheaten Flour of the best quality, and baked (24 hours befoie issue) m loaves of 2 lbs. each. The Mould Candles aie to bo properly soasoned by being kept ou hand by the Contractor for a suitable period after manufacture. The Firewood to be Tea Tree, or other hard wood, split and cut into lengths of 4 feet. The Contractor for supplymg Fuewood must have constantly on hand, at Auckland, in a place to be approved by the undersigned, or lus successor in office, a stock sufficient for 14 days' consumption, from which stock alone the issues are to be made. The stock to be at all times ' subject to the inspection of the Commissariat, and all wood that is objected to at such inspection must be immediately removed The Wood, although paid for by weight, accoidmg to the Tender, must be delivered by measurement, and stacked for that purpose by the Contractor on delivery; 71 cubic feet being considered equivalent to a ton of 2240 lbs. It will be optional with the Commissariat to bring Coal into more geneial use, and l educe, or even discontinue the demand for Firewood altogether, should such a change become advisable. The Coal (except New Zealand) when required for the Naval Service to be deliveied alongside any of Her Majesty's Steam or Sailing Ships, in Auckland Haibour, in such quantities as may be reqiured at the expense of the Contractor. FORAGE FOR HORSES, (at pei Ration.) Tho Ration to be 8 lbs Maize or Oats, 4 lbs. Bran, 12 lbs Hay, 4 lbs Wheatcn or Oaten Stiaw, at the option of the Commissariat. SHIPS OF WAR, &c. Flour, Rice, Tea, No. 1 Coin-") These articles to pany'b Moist Sugar, Raisins, be delivered on Cunants, Tobacco, Salt, boaid (fiee of exSuet, Soap, Potatoes, Mixed tia charge) in such Vegetables, Pepper, Mus- packages as aie taid, Anowroot, Chocolate usually provided oi Coco.i, at pei lb. each. I for the Naval SerOatmeal, Split Peas, Whole (vice. All the items Peas, at per bushel of 64 to be included in pints each one tender, which Rum, West India, 5 pei cent, will be accepted or under proof, Vinegar, Lime l elected as a Juice, and Polar Oil, at pei whole, gallon, each. All supplies under the above Contiacts aie to be subject to the approval or lejectiou of the Senior Commissariat Officei, or Officer appointed by him for that purpose , (and those required for the Naval Service to be subject to the final approval of the Naval authorities ,)and if rejected other supplies of a satisfactory natuie are to be at once substituted, failing which, the Commissariat to have the power of purchasing at the expense of the Contractor , it being understood, however, that these supplies are not to be considered as finally accepted until actually received by the troops or others entitled to rations. HOSPITAL SUPPLIES. Choice pieces of any description of Fresh" Meat, without bone Fine Broad (fancy, if reqiured) Fine Flour Arrowroot Sago Rice Pearl Bailey Tea Coffee " No. 1 Company's best Moist Sugar Best Loaf Sugar Oatmeal « Black Lead Salt § White or Black Pepper Fine Mustard Fresh Butter Potatoes Mixed Vegetables Yellow Soap Preserved Meats, and Soups (exclusivo of tt n s Fresh Eggs, at per dozen Fowls, each Bath Bricks Mdk, Vinegar, Lime Juice, at per imperial pint English Ale or Porter, at per dozen quart bottles, containing 5 gills each Sherry, Port Wine, and Brandy, at per bottle oHi pints each Lemonade and Sodawatev, at per dozen bottles. These supplies to be delivered at the expense of the Contractor, direct to the Hospital Sergeants, at the Hospitals, upon the written order of the Purveying Officer. Each article to be of the best quality that can be procured. Tho Purveying Officers to have the power of rejecting any article offered, and if proper supplies are not immediately substituted, the Purveyor to have the power of purchasing at the expense of the Contractor.
