Mr. J. 11. Hall, publicity manager o the Railways Department, whs admitted yesterday as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court by tiie Hon. Mr. Justice Johnston, ou the motion ot Mr. Herbert. Taylor. Lieutenant John Fuller, jun. S"ii of Mr John Fuller, formerly a member of the Wellington City Council and a nephew of Sir Benjamin ruller. ot the' well-known theatrical family, has arrived back in Sydney after being n prisoner of war in Malaya and Japan for the last throe and a half years. Lieutenant Fuller bad the privilege of acc-.pt-iii" the sword from Captain Morimoto, a "tyrant who had watched prisoners beaten and starved in a Kobe prison camp for three years.
Mr. C. R. Mentiplay has been appointed special Australian correspondent of the New Zealand Press Association. Before the war Mr. Mentiplay was on the staff of the “Evening Post." Wellington. After serving two years with the Sixth Field Regiment in North Africa, he was appointed Official New Zealand War Correspondent and served in that capacity tip to the time of the capitulation of’ Geiniiiny.
