PALMERSTON NORTH MEN WELCOMED
PALMERSTON N., February 10. A large crowd welcomed the Middle East furlough men on the Palmerston North station whe-n they arrived recently. The mayor, Mr. Mansford, expressing the citizens’ greetings, said that all were proud of the men’s achievements on the battlefield. Mr. Hodgens, M.P., and Mr. 18. J. Jacobs, Dominion president of the R.S.A., added their welcome. Good service was rendered by the transport section of the E.P.S. in conveying the men to their homes.
