NORSEWOOD
DANNEVIRKE, February 8. The weekly stock sale at the Norsewood yards attracted a large attendance of local farmers, who were chiefly interested in the sale of sheep. The offering in this • section was mostly lambs and a very good sale resulted, prices showing a rise on last week’s sale held at the Dannevirke yards. One pen of medium Down cross lambs, light condition, created competition at 17/3 and 17/7; small Down cross lambs, 12/6. Medium Romney wether lambs made 13/5, while small ewe lambs sold at 14/3; mixed age breeding ewes, 20/-; aged ewes, 21/1; and lightweight wethers, 20/-. The cattle offered were all dairy sorts. Jersey weaners. good class, made £o /J/-. and jersey heifers, at the drop, £7 to £B. Upward of 50 pigs were yarded, and comprised nearly all weaners. Buyers were not interested and sales were hard to make. Good class weaners realized 9/6 to 15/-, and small 7/6.
