Promoted Wing Commander (By Telegraph.—Prese Assn. —Copyright.) (Special Correspondent.) LONDON, February 7. After being posted Flight Commander for seven months, Squadron' Lender D. 51. Brass, Wellington, has been promoted Squadron Commander, with the rank ot Wing Commander. He spent eight months in Canada and the Uniteci States early, in the war on a special navigation course, and later served as a navigation officer at a reconnaissance school. Wing Commander Brass has flown more than 1500 hours, of which, more than 500 were on operations. He is now on his second tour. His squadron has had several successes against U-boats. He was educated at Southland Bo.ys High School, Invercargill. Before joining the Air Force he .was in the Meteorological Office, .Wellington,
