UNDER the Egg Rationing Order, 1J43, and the Egg Rationing Permit, 1943, eggs are declared to be rationed goods Insofar as they are required in the Wellington Egg Rationing District for preferential consumers, i.e., persons to whom the Rationing Controller has issued preference ration cards for eggs. Application for such ration cards may be made at any permanent post office in the area by n parent for—Children under 5, supported by Pluuket book or birth certificate and ration book, bv expectant mothers, supported by medical certificate and ration book, and bv invalids, supported by medical certificates (specifying ailment and diet) and ration book. • Preferential consumers must register with a retailer, and retailers accepting registrations must take counterfoils from preference ration cards and apply to Wellington rationing oilice for the addition ot eggs to their licence to tiade in rationed commodities. Licensed retailers must redeem coupons in hands of preferential consumers registered with them in the week during whlcn they are valid. . .
