FIRST NIGHT RAID FOR MONTH

LONDON, December 3.

The south-east coast of Britain last night experienced its first night raid for a month. It was a slight affair, but some damage and casualties resulted. The Air Ministry states: “In offensive patrols over France and Holland yesterday our fighters attacked railway targets, enemy troops and gun-posts. Seven locomotives were damaged. One of our fighters is missing. “Three Coastal Command aircraft are missing from patrols over the Bay of Biscay on Tuesday.”
