E.P.S. WARDENS MEET

Hutt And East Harbour The second meeting of chief, wardens of the E.P.S. organizations in the Hutt Valley and east harbour district was held at the Petone municipal offices recently. Among those present were: Mr. E. P. Hay, chief warden, Lower Hutt City E.P.S.; Mr. A. G. Steffensen, chief warden, Petone E.P.S., and the deputy chief warden, Mr. F. Hall; Mr. J. B. Yaldwyn,.Hutt County E.P.S. and east harbour bays; Major P. St. John Keenan, chief warden, Eastbourne E.P.S., and the deputy chief warden, Mr. W. Hurst-Barton. Mr. G. Suters represented the Hutt Workshops E.P.S. Apciogies for absence were received from Mr. C. C. Miles, Wellington E.P.S., and Mr. E. J. Rightoa, chief warden, east harbour bays. Various matters concerning the efficient functioning of the E.P.S. were discussed with a view to ensuring full co-operation among the organizations represented at the meeting, and it- was resolved to hold regular monthly meetings, for which purpose the Petone Borough Council has offered the use of the council chambers. .Major P. St John Keenan was elected to preside at those meetings.
