DEMANDS TO IRAN
Teheran Parliament Session LONDON, September 8. It is learned authoritatively that a British and Russian Note has been sent to the Iranian Government demanding the expulsion or internment of Axis nationals or sympathizers in Iran, ihe Note is also assumed to deal with the liquidation of the German Legation in Teheran. There is no reply so . but the British and Russian terms Util be discussed at tomorrow’s special session of \ the Iranian Parliament. A message from Teheran states that the Germans have apparently abandoned hope of escaping from after making several unsuccessful at- A tempts. , , A party which tried to elude the Russians and cross into Turkey has now returned to Teheran, and other Germans who set out for Isfahan from south of Teheran on foot, in an effort to avoid the police, were brought back in a car sent by the German Legation, which also sent a car for two Germans who headed for the hills, hoping to hold out “till the German army arrives through the Caucasus.”
