Tlie Ladies’ Golf Union home links coronation medal competition lor players will) handicaps of not more than 18. which was played by members of affiliated clubs throughout New Zealand during the week May -1 to JO, was won by Mrs. L. Larcombe, Queen’s Park club, Invercargill, her score, 87-18-09, being six strokes under tiie scratch score of the course. The next best, scores were: Mrs. I’. Stokes, Orakei club, Auckland, 81-14-07 (live under); Miss Z. Hudson, Wait.iliiri chib, Cbristcbiin-h. 75-1-71 (four under); and .Mrs. 11. M. Purser, New Plymouth. SO-9-7.1 (four under). The competition for the Aotearou I. up. which is played for in conjunction with tin' same event, but is open to plnyem of any handicap, resulted in a tie between Miss H. Proctor, Otahuhu club. Auckland. 97-31-00, Mrs. 11. Barnes. Rotorua, 9-1-31-03. and Mrs. L. Larcombe, Queen’s Park, Invercargill, 87-18-09. each of whom played six strokes below the scratch score of her course. Miss Proctor wan the winner on a count back over tlie last nine holes.
