Work Of Foxton Women's

Emergency Corps

The weekly meeting of the Foxton Women's Emergency Corps was hold in Ihe bandroom on Wednesday afternoon, when there was a good attendance of members. As a result of the .splendid work of this band of ladies and the generosity with which the public responded to the appeal for clothing for the refugees, 19 cases of garments have been sent forward by the corps and a further three cases are packed ready for dispatch.

Members irre reminded that in future the meetings will be held on Thursday afternoons, commencing next Thursday, October 10, at 2 p.ra. Next week the work on hand will lie the making of hussifs for the soldiers, a supply of material having been received from Wellington and the necessary linings and fillings will be supplied by the local corps.
