HISTORIC CHURCH

To Be Rededicated Tomorrow Dominion Special Service. HASTINGS, October 4. The historic Omahu Church, which was first erected more than 40 years ago and has now been practically rebuilt, is to be rededicated on Sunday by the Bishop of Aotearoa, the Rt. Rev. F. A. Bennett. Funds for the renovations which have recently been carried out were made available from donations from all parts ot Hawke’s Bay and from a loan from the Diocesan Board. . The church's cemetery contains the graves of many of the famous tribal chiefs and a number of prominent pakeha pioneers of the district.
