HOUSE ON FIRE

Front Extensively Damaged

Extensive damage was caused to the front of a single-story house at 26 Marjoribanks Street. Wellington, by an outbreak of fire just after 5 p.m. yesterday. The fire is believed to have been caused by an electric radiator coming into contact with furniture. The house is owned by Mrs. M. Maguire and occupied by Mrs. Barker. It is used as apartments. A bed-sitting room in the front of the building, where the fire started, was extensively damaged, but the fire was extinguished by the brigade before it. did much other damage. Two engines from the Central Fire Station answered the call.
