OIL FOR GERMANY
Urgent Demands On Rumania (Received January 21, 7.30 p.m.) BUCHAREST, January 20. Herr Hitler is drawing full attention to the question of oil supplies for war. Urgent messages are being exchanged between the Government and the German delegate, Herr Clodius. King Carol was again told that Rumania cannot be regarded as genuinely neutral unless the German petrol demands are satisfied. Germany' is regularly' sending oil trains with camouflaged tanks to Rumania, 14 passing through to Germany nightly and congesting the single railway track.
