Good progress is being mu de by the New Zealand Society of New York in the work of providing opportunities for New Zealanders! in America to meet and become better acquainted with fellow-countrymen and other peoples of tlie Empire. Over half of the December bulletin of the British Social Club published in New York is devoted to the activities of the society. The main celebration was the inaugural dinner on November 4 at the Hotel MqAlpine, New York. There were 108 people present ami a typical New Zealand menu was served. From Ihe reports, the society is serving its purpose and proving popular.
