(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, January 2. The Paris newspaper ‘‘Temps,’’ in a eulogy of Britain’s efforts since the war began, writes: ‘‘The traditionally great, naval Power. England, has in a very short time become a great military Power under pressure of the necessity of conducting a vigorous war. \ “This magnificent effort, is worthy of a groat nation. It proves the will of the Government ami the people of the United Kingdom to see the war through to victory and till the aims which England and France have fixed for their joint venture —defence of the liberty of Europe and the welfare of civilization—have been achieved."
